Joe Sorrentino - Singer / Songwriter / Guitar Player / One-Man-Band

Singer/Songwriter/Guitar Player, Joe Sorrentino, is a one-man-band known as Twenty Past Two, who performs live, on acoustic & electric guitars, to custom pre-recorded backing tracks. He also plays beside computer screens, displaying custom music videos, featuring his virtual band. Sorrentino covers a variety of popular rock radio songs, mainly of the 80's, 90's, through today, while mixing in his own catchy rock original songs. His live show is a complete audio/visual, multimedia experience, which is unique and unlike any other live-show around.
Sorrentino started writing songs back when he was in high school in the early nineties. Throughout his college years he formed his first band, "Soulacious", which won the All State College Battle of the Bands in 2000, followed by his next band, "Central Ave" in 2009 and "Twenty Past Two" in 2013, which originally started as a quartet, then later became a solo project. With a passion for both audio & video production, Sorrentino combined his skill sets to create something unique and different, setting himself apart from other bands and solo acts. Twenty Past Two, can best be described as a one man band, with a full band sound, which incorporates stunning visual imagery displays.
The concept for the band name is to pay homage to dedicated supporters of local Boston music, who stay out late watching their favorite bands perform until closing time at 2AM and don't want the night to end. Twenty Past Two, is the time after a Boston venue closes, where those left standing are recognized as the most loyal and devoted music fans.
In addition to recording music and performing out live, Sorrentino is also the former host, editor and producer of a local Needham based television show called "The Local Music Scene", where Sorrentino interviewed and featured performances by some of the best local bands in the Metro West Region. Sorrentino is currently a producer and videographer for Charter TV3 in Worcester, MA.
